Pupil Premium Attainment

This is a line graph to show average attainment between 2 dates for Pupil Premium pupils for an overall subject. The headline report allows you to look at overall subjects like English combined, the group report allows you to look at the areas within the subject like English Reading. It compares Pupil Premium against Non Pupil Premium and the whole school. The report can be filtered further to look at a specific cohort and the Pupil Premium pupils within, e.g. Key stage 3 Pupil Premium pupils.

Cohort Attainment

The cohorts can be a class, year group, key stage, primary need, ethnicity, EAL or a cohort of your creation. It will compare the cohort against pupils not in the cohort and also look at the whole school.

The headline report allows you to look at overall subjects like English combined, the group report allows you to look at the areas within the subject like English Reading. The difference between this report and the attainment report is the Y axis shows percentage progress and all pupils start at 0%. This will show the pupils making the most progress regardless of starting point.

This is a line graph to show average progress between 2 dates for any cohort for an overall subject. The cohort can be a class, year group, key stage, primary need, ethnicity, EAL or a cohort of your creation. It will compare the cohort against pupils not in the cohort and also look at the whole school. Primary Need Attainment

This line graph shows the average attainment for the different primary need cohorts for an overall subject. The headline report allows you to look at overall subjects like English combined, the group report allows you to look at the areas within the subject like English Reading. It will allow you to compare between MLD, SLD, PMLD etc. As with other reports, you can choose a subset of group, you can look at the attainment difference in key stage 3 for the different primary needs.

Primary Need Progress

This line graph shows the average progress for the different primary need cohorts for an overall subject. It will allow you to compare between MLD, SLD, PMLD etc. As with other reports, you can choose a subset of group, you can look at the progress difference in key stage 1 for the different primary needs.

Main Cohort Attainment

When schools and Ofsted look at data, there are a number of cohorts looked at by default. These are;

  • Whole School
  • Male
  • Female
  • EHC Plan
  • SEN
  • No SEN
  • Free School Meals
  • Not Free School Meals
  • Looked After
  • Not Looked After
  • Looked After and Free School Meals
  • Not Looked After and Free School Meals 

The Main cohort analysis shows you these groups on one graph for a subject, it is easy to see how each individual cohort is performing.

Main Cohort Progress

The English and Mathematics report shows the average attainment and progress for a cohort in all the different areas of English and Maths on a single graph.

Progress over Year

This pie chart shows the amount of progress individual pupils have made within a cohort over a year. It groups the pupils into 10% bands of progress, it is easy so how a cohort performed over the year.

Progress over Key Stage

This pie chart shows how much progress individual pupils in a year group have made since the start of the key stage. Pupils are grouped into bands of progression.

Progress over Year (Funnel)

This funnel chart shows the amount of progress individual pupils have made within a cohort over a year. It groups the pupils into 10% bands of progress, it is easy so how a cohort performed over the year. The bands show how many pupils have made this amount of progress or more.

Progress over Key Stage (Funnel)

This funnel chart shows how much progress individual pupils in a year group have made since the start of the key stage. Pupils are grouped into bands of progression. The bands show how many pupils have made this amount of progress or more.
